Iris Shaw, Program Director
Iris Shaw manages and implements the Formosa Foundation’s flagship programs, including the Ambassador Program, and other events. With her background in journalism and public affairs, Ms. Shaw serves a vital role in public outreach and press relations for the foundation. Ms. Shaw received a Master of Public Policy degree from Georgetown University in 2010. She interned at the Library of Congress, assisting its Chief of Asian Division to organize events and conferences on Capitol Hill. . Ms. Shaw earned a M.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in Foreign Languages and Literatures from National Taiwan University (NTU). She served as a counselor in the Executive Office of the Vice President of Taiwan, where she worked closely with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies to enhance Taiwan’s global standing and participation in the international community. She also worked as a journalist for Cheers Magazine, an award-winning publication for young professionals in Taiwan. Ms. Shaw has fond memories of living in Boston, where she spent part of her childhood, and of Sydney, Australia, where she participated in an NTU graduate exchange program. |
