Donald S. Lee, Chairman of the Board

Donald S. Lee is an attorney with, and a shareholder of, the law firm of Buchalter Nemer, a regional full service business law firm headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Lee is a corporate transactional lawyer, with expertise in venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate representation. Mr. Lee previously practiced law in Topeka, Kansas, with the law firm of Wright, Henson, Somers, Sebelius, Clark & Baker.

Mr. Lee has had extensive political experience. From 1988 through 1991, he served on the legislative staff of U.S. Senator and Republican Leader Bob Dole (R-Kan). In 1996, Mr. Lee was a volunteer for the Dole for President Campaign, served as a parliamentarian for a platform subcommittee at the Republic National Convention, and was also named as a member of the Statewide Finance Committee for the Senate campaign of U.S. Senator Sam Brownback (R-Kan). Mr. Lee graduated from Stanford University with a BA in Political Science, with honors, and from the University of Kansas School of Law with a JD.

From 1996 to 1997, Mr. Lee served on the Board of Directors of the Formosan Association for Public Affairs, an organization devoted to promoting international support for the right of self-determination for the people of Taiwan and to further the interests of Taiwanese communities throughout the world. He has been a featured speaker or served as a panelist at many events to discuss issues relating to Taiwan and to Taiwanese-Americans. Prior to his election to the Board of Directors of the Formosa Foundation, Mr. Lee served as an informal advisor to the organization from its inception.
